As performed at his Headquarters near Centreville by the 1st Virginia Regiment Band: On which occasion Genl. Beauregard appeared and addressed the Band as follows. Genl. “The Quickstep is Musical and Beautiful. I hope that you will soon have the opportunity of playing it on our March upon the Enemy, and on the other side of the POTOMAC.”
